The Team

Rob Gleave

Managing Director / Owner

As Owner and Managing Director of Momentum Instore Rob’s strong entrepreneurial style and strategic vision, combined with his operational expertise, has made Momentum Instore the award-winning, multi million pound business that it is today. By providing strong leadership Rob has ensured that Momentum Instore continues to grow and deliver a market-leading offering by maintaining a competitive edge in an extremely tough environment.

Rob has been a key figure in the instore marketing industry for over 30 years. During this time he has been at the helm of many complex million pound retail marketing campaigns. He has also held a range of operational and strategic roles for blue chip brands and retailers, making his knowledge of the instore industry second to none.

Steph Gleave

Director / Owner

Steph has helped to build Momentum Instore into the business it is today, through the strategic planning and delivery of the sales and marketing function.

Steph sets high standards and motivates the team to deliver results ensuring that Momentum Instore is the leading instore retail marketing agency. Drawing on her many years within the industry her role acts as the custodian of standards for all client facing presentations, proposals and tender documents. Steph's ability to work effectively and efficiently with brands and retailers across the UK has helped to build her reputation within the industry.

Amy Morley

Director of Strategic Operations

Former Marketing Operations Manager for Morrison's, Amy has returned to Momentum Instore as Director of Strategic Operations.

Amy previously spent six years with Momentum Instore as Client Relationship Director and Operations Manager. In her new role, Amy is responsible for the delivery and development of the operational divisions of the business; installations, merchandising and field marketing. She will also work alongside Managing Director Rob Gleave on the creation and execution of the company's strategic vision

Nick Hinton

Finance Director

Nick is a proven qualified Finance Director with vast experience gained in SME entrepreneurial growth businesses.

Practice qualified, Nick then spent 2 years in Corporate Finance before moving into Industry. He has held senior board positions for the past 15 years in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, property, retail, medical and FMCG. He joined Momentum Instore in April 2012, just before the MBO from McCann Eriksson was completed. Nick's role in the business encompasses strategic & commercial input as well as the traditional finance offering.

Paul McCarthy

Sales & Marketing Director

Paul has a strong commercial background with a wealth of experience in developing new and existing sales channels.

As Sales & Marketing Director Paul supports Momentum Instore's growth plans across all channels. Working closely with our Business Development and Marketing teams Paul is responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities that will help to deliver our sales targets, whilst continuing to monitor and measure the effectiveness of these procedures to help drive the business forward.

Jon Day

Head of Resource Management

Jon has worked at Momentum Instore for over 20 years. He started his career as a Project Manager on the Boots account.

As Head of Resource Management, Jon is responsible for the Resource Management Centre within the business. Jon drives maximum results through implementing procedures and processes that maximise client satisfaction and efficiencies with regards to scheduling jobs and assigning the correct skill base to complete complex nationwide projects.

Luke Cowell

Head of Operations (Merchandising)

Luke has 9 years' experience working with huge retail brands such as Tesco and Bang & Olufsen. He joined Momentum Instore in June 2013 and as Head of Operations for our Merchandising division Luke is responsible for our central and field merchandising operations, focusing on delivering Momentum Instore's strategic, operational and client objectives.

As a results orientated leader Luke has the ability to drive growth strategies and streamline operations within a fast paced retail environment. Luke provides retail support to all our key merchandising clients, planning and implementing strategic direction to grow this division of our business.

Steve Illing

Head of Operations (Installations)

Having held positions ranging from Projects Director for an international brand, to Managing Director of a high-end kitchen and bedroom furniture manufacturer and retailer, Steve has an exemplary track record in driving significant increases in 'right first time, on time' delivery of retail installations. Steve is responsible for the operational and commercial delivery of the installations department at Momentum Instore. He drives the delivery of our commercial goals and will reinforce the senior management team as the business pursues its ambition growth plans.

Tim Ellis

Business Development Manager

Tim is a Retail Marketing Specialist, providing our clients with a consultative service to help them plan and deliver an effective marketing campaign into store, whilst helping to ensure they gain a return on their investment. His knowledge and expertise consistently delights our clients.

Tim's role at Momentum Instore includes formulating and delivering overall strategic new business plans, generating and developing new business leads, managing pitches and continuously monitoring industry developments and trends.

Julie Fort

New Business Manager

With over 6 years experience in the events and hospitality industry, Julie has a strong background in sales and business development, having previously worked for one of the world's leading football clubs based in the North West. Julie's role helps to strengthen our customer service provision within Momentum Instore. Julie is responsible for building relationships with clients ensuring their key objectives for each and every project are met. Julie works closely with our operational team, fully briefing them on new project objectives to ensure each and every project is delivered right first time for our clients.
